Matthew Gauldin

As a Design Professional with the Defense Community Resilience Program, Matthew Gauldin conducts novel research in furthering climate resilience in communities across Georgia. Matthew also helps produce design deliverables for various projects at the institute, including conceptual master plans, 3D models and renderings, and GIS mapping needs. Before joining the Institute of Government, he was a graduate research assistant in the UGA Warnell School of Forestry and a landscape designer for Planet Earth Designs in Cumming, GA. Matthew is the first author of several published articles and was a CAD designer for the "Devil's Den State Park Historic American Landscapes Survey," which won first place nationally in the 2024 Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) Challenge.
