The Institute partnered with the Georgia Technology Authority, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, other state agencies and the private sector to develop accurate, up-to-date maps of high-speed internet availability for the Georgia Broadband Deployment Initiative.
To provide more transparency on which homes in Georgia lack high-speed internet access, a new Broadband Availability Map was unveiled this week by Governor Brian P. Kemp. According to the Governor's office, more than one million Georgians lack reliable, high-speed internet connectivity.
Hundreds of community leaders throughout Georgia gained tools to address pandemic-related economic and budgetary challenges and plan long-term recovery through Institute's free Navigating Fiscal Crisis webinar series.
